Tamar March is a senior fellow at the Association of American Colleges and Universities. She has served as dean of educational programs at Radcliffe College, and has an active interest in the intellectual development of educated adults, ranging from faculty development on a national level to Arden Seminars.

2nd Annual Catskill Film & Video Festival

and this forest will be a desert will be included in the 2nd Annual Catskill Film & Video Festival, part of the Masters on Main Street project in Catskill, NY.
The festival will showcase 32 pieces, predominantly shorts, by 34 artists, filmmakers, and collaborative teams from across the country. A mix of video and film, this diverse grouping includes work by seasoned filmmakers as well as young artists setting the tone in contemporary video work. In addition to traditional categories such as documentary and animation, the festival will also explore the relationship between film and video work and highlight the connection between performance and video. Video interviews and live Q&As will help provide insight into the artistic process.
Curated by Jacqueline Weaver, the festival includes work by Mikel Bisbee Durlam + Jody C. Exciting news this week for our little art video, and this forest will be a desert, which will be included in both Another Experiment by Women Film Festival in NYC, and Abandon Normal Devices Festival in Northwest England (opening September 29, 2011 in Liverpool).

Another Experiment by Women Film Festival promotes and screens moving images in any media, made by women, that encourage critical thinking and dialogue.
Abandon Normal Devices (AND) is a festival of New Cinema and Digital Culture, taking place across the Northwest of England. A catalyst for production and experimentation, AND is a call to arms inviting anarchists of the imagination to propose striking perspectives on technological, physical and social normality.
Specific screening times/locations haven't been posted yet, but I'll update when we know more.
